Outstanding smoked meats and BBQ! Menu is not overwhelming... one cannot go wrong no matter your choice! The Colorado Sandwich, brisket Jack cheese and jalapenos is absolutely delicious... it's not too spicy if you're worried! Before we left my wife had started conversations with the whole staff, mgr and owner! Wonderful people!

We had Hogwoods food truck come out to our hotel for our 63rd family reunion. The ribs were absolutely AMAZING!!! Fall off the bone tender with and excellent smoky flavor. Fabulous customer service as well.

Was expecting fast-casual, suburban-chain, passable fare, but was in a BBQ mood and took the plunge anyway. Woah. So, so happy with what this independent, locally owned place has pulled off in its space. Meat (brisket and pork in our case) was moist and well-smoked (nice red line, wood fire FTW). The RED sauce was impeccable, though unnecessary. My kid ate his whole sandwich and cried when he ran out because he wanted to take more for the road (we obliged him). I don't like grits, but enjoyed theirs with hatch chiles. Potato salad (mayo-based with some bacon crumble) was tasty, and don't sleep on the beans! For the price point and location, I was so pleasantly surprised. Will be coming back when in the hood!

The food was delicious, and the blonde girl who took our order was so friendly and helpful! My sister and I had such a good time talking to her. I highly recommend their white sauce--it's the real soul.

Was in town for a day visit and was hungry for brisket and from I remember their brisket is amazing… My first mistake… I didn’t order the brisket. I decided to order the brisket bowl instead. Sounded good…. And it was gluten-free. I quickly regretted my decision and as you can see left most of it. Too many competing flavors and only a few bites of brisket. Wouldn’t order again but would return for my original choice. Brisket. If you like bbq do yourself a favor and try Hogwood’s.

Interesting spot in the cool springs area. They’ve got the pulled pork nailed down and similar to a Texas operation there’s a giant smoker right behind the prep line. Wide selection of meats being smoked. I enjoyed the pulled pork, sausage and turkey the most. Enjoy.

Great food and great atmosphere! The food was very fresh and delicious. I even got to talk to the manager about the origins of the restaurant, and she was really nice! Definitely go to this place if you're in Franklin. I would recommend getting the nachos.

Was in the area and saw this place had good reviews. I see why! Son and I ordered the brisket, chicken, mac and cheese, potato salad, and grits. They had three types of BBQ sauce - regular, spicy, and white. They also had a different brand of fountain drinks other than Coke or Pepsi. Pros: 1. All of the food was seasoned perfectly. I especially liked the potato salad and the white BBQ sauce. 2. The brisket was good. Can’t say that about many places this far from TX. 3. Staff was friendly. 4. Prices were decent. 5. The fountain drinks were tasty. I liked the cream soda. 6. Decor was cute. Cons: 1. Chicken was a bit dry. Overall, this is a solid BBQ place. I’d eat here again.
